Description
Pure EV an Hyderabad based Indian startup has launched its ePluto 7G Pro scooter in the Indian market. The e-scooter bike is based on the ePluto 7G but comes with a bigger battery pack, better range and other features.
Price
The ePluto 7G Pro is available in three color options Matte Black, White and Grey - all at an ex-showroom price of Rs 94,999. On the other hand, the standard variant comes in six colour options, priced at Rs 86,999 (both ex-showroom India excluding subsidies).
Features
The retro-designed 7G Pro features all the bells and whistles that one can expect at this price point such as LED Headlight, Bluetooth-enabled app connectivity with OTA updates, and alloy wheels. The console on the standard variant is a simpler LCD unit without connectivity.
Motor
The ePluto 7G Pro uses a 3.0KWh battery pack powering a 1.5 kW (continuous power) motor with a 2.2 kW peak output that propels the scooter from 0-40 Kmph in 5 seconds. With three riding modes the scooter offers a claimed range of 100 to 150 km. The base variant uses the same motor albeit linked to a smaller 2.5kWh battery pack with a 90-120 km claimed range.
Suspension & Brakes
Suspension wise the scooter gets telescopic suspension in the front and twin-shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is via a disc brake at the front and a drum unit at the rear. The e-scooter rolls on 10-inch alloy wheels wrapped with tubeless tyres.
Rivals
The Pure EV ePluto with its price range competes directly against the Ampere Magnus, Hero Electric Optima CX, TVS iQube and Ola S1 Air.
